Directors and staff members are not paid and donations are not spent on things such as office rent/utilities, flight tickets, guest speakers, hotels, etc. However, like other not-for-profit organizations, we may spend an administrative fee of up to 17% of donations on things such as marketing materials, paperwork renewal, card processing fees, volunteer transportation, web development, etc. As our programs grow, we anticipate that our admin fee will decrease. Unlike many other not-for-profit organizations, whose admin fees can be as high as 80%, we ensure that our admin fee is capped at a maximum of 17%, which is necessary for us to continue growing and helping as many people as possible!
Our donation form is secured by First Data product Payeezy, purchased from Bank Of America Merchant Services. Humanity Relief is not endorsed by this company. General Donations get distributed into our programs based on immediate need.
If you would like to specify which program you want your donation to go towards, please scroll to the top menu and click “programs”. There you will be taken to a page where you may select 1 of our 4 programs. Click “learn more” on the program of your choosing and than click “donate now” at the bottom .
Checks can be made out to “Humanity Relief” and mailed to our office at 5630 N. Sheridan rd. Chicago, IL 60660 STE 821. Please specify in the memo which program you want your donation to go towards. Additionally, you can stop by our office to donate in person!

501(c)(3) tax exempt status can be verified by calling the IRS and referencing our tax ID or simply by asking us for a copy of our tax exempt determination letter from the IRS.
